What is your standard delivery service?

Standard delivery is to ground floor. If your delivery requires assistance with stairs, tight access, or other site-specific requirements, please let us know in advance — additional charges may apply.

How long does delivery take?

We're committed to getting your order to you as quickly as possible. Here's what you can generally expect:

  • In-Stock Items: Dispatched within 2–3 business days (Monday–Friday), with delivery typically within 3–7 business days across Melbourne.
  • Australian Made Mattresses: Made to order — please allow 7–10 business days for production before dispatch, plus delivery time.

Once your order is placed, our team will be in touch within 24–48 hours to confirm your estimated dispatch and delivery timeframe.

Do you accept returns?

Due to hygiene reasons, Best Beds does not accept returns or offer refunds unless a product is supplied faulty.

What happens if my product is faulty?

All products are carefully checked prior to dispatch. If you receive a faulty product, you must notify us within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.

To report a faulty product, email hello@bestbeds.com.au with your order number, delivery date, a detailed description, and clear photographs of the issue. Once confirmed as faulty, we will assess whether repair, replacement, or refund is appropriate in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Are limited returns ever accepted?

In limited circumstances where a return is mutually agreed:

  • A 35% restocking and handling fee applies
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Products must be unused and returned in original packaging

Do your mattresses come with a warranty?

Absolutely! Every mattress we sell is backed by a manufacturer's warranty, ranging from 1 year (clearance items) up to 10 years depending on the model — because we only stock products we genuinely stand behind.

How long does it take to adjust to a new mattress?

Most mattresses require an adjustment period of 2 to 3 months as materials settle and your body adapts. This is normal and not considered a fault.

Do you offer mattress firmness advice?

Yes. We can describe how our mattresses generally feel—such as firm or extra firm—based on our experience and how they respond to pressure.

Because firmness is highly personal and depends on your body weight, sleep position, and comfort preferences, we encourage you to visit our showroom and test the mattress in person. That way you can decide what feels right for your specific needs rather than relying on a label.

Do you recommend a mattress protector?

Absolutely. Using a mattress protector helps maintain hygiene and ensures your warranty remains valid.
